Longevity, experience, and knowledge
Oakford Rental & Realty Co. Ltd was established in 1964 as a family business, and celebrated its 50th birthday in March 2014, making us the oldest and most experienced property management company in Newfoundland and Labrador. Through this time and experience we have gained a wealth of knowledge about the best ways to rent and manage residential and commercial properties. Oakford Realty was among the first real estate companies to join the current Newfoundland & Labrador Real Estate Board and the MLS system. We pride ourselves in our rentals and property management, but are involved in sales and real estate investment advice. Being in the market for as long as we have, we can help you steer clear of the pitfalls that create trouble for so many others when purchasing rental investment property.
The real estate industry in St. John’s has always been competitive, and we’ve seen companies come and go. We know the market place exceptionally well, because we’ve lived it day in and day out for 50 years. Rental values, vacancy rates, market trends… we’re on top of what matters, and we want to ensure you get the best tenants at the optimal rent.
Property Management in St. John’s
At Oakford we screen, screen, screen tenants! We want to make sure your apartment/home/condo stays rented to quiet, conscientious tenants with no rental collection problems. That is not a dream or a prayer; it’s a fact. And our years of experience help you get the best price that your property and the market will allow. If you’re not tuned into the market, how do you know what to charge? If you can’t screen, how do you know who’s living in your unit? Oakford has the experience and knowledge you need to rent your property with full peace of mind!
Oakford is a member of the Newfoundland & Labrador Real Estate Board and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). We are licenced and bonded. Geoff Oakley is the Real Estate Broker and Property Manager, with 37 years of knowledge in real estate to share with clients. He is also a former president of The Better Business Bureau (1984-1985) and is the second generation of Oakleys to broker this firm.
